Why work with Ave?

We’re experts in designing for charities and public sector orgs

Our vast experience means that we are perfectly equipped to work with you to deliver your projects. We understand the challenges that charities and not-for-profit organisations face in trying to communicate succinctly and engage the right people when you’ve got complex and diverse audiences.

Our values are at the core of everything we do

Our values are central to all that we do at Ave. As a team we are unified in our commitment to work with organisations that we really love and believe in, ensuring that we work in a way that is respectful and inclusive.

At our core, we believe in building relationships with our clients based on honesty and integrity. We celebrate the positive results that a collaborative approach creates and ensure that at all times we work with transparency, flexibility and accuracy.

Accessibility and inclusion by design is a core proposition

Inclusion by design means accessibility isn’t an add-on, it’s a principle we build into every project. From brand designs to UX research (and everything in between!), we design with diverse needs in mind from the start. Inclusive design isn’t just good practice, it’s essential to making meaningful, effective work that reaches and engages audiences.

Everything we do, we build with insight

We design with people, not just for them. Every project starts by listening: understanding audiences’ needs, motivations and challenges. Insight guides our creative decisions and ensures the work resonates. It’s how we test, learn and improve, making sure ideas are shaped by real users, not personal opinion.

As such, we know how to navigate complex stakeholder needs, public sector scrutiny, and emotionally sensitive topics.

We’re committed to investing in purpose

We reinvest a percentage of our profits to create positive impact, from subsidising work for underfunded clients to offering pro bono support, funding internships, staff training and volunteering time. It’s part of our commitment to ensuring profit drives purpose.

We also founded On Purpose in to support the people driving positive change. It’s a free resource hub for the charity/public sector and purpose-led organisations, sharing practical tools, guidance, training and inspiration.
