The State of Ageing in 2020 Report Design and Animation

We were approached to work with the Centre for Ageing Better on its latest report, ‘the State of Ageing in 2020’. The commission included creating conceptual options for how a visual narrative could be created that acted as the thread to connect the various outputs; website, printed report, animation and social assets.

We worked with the newly established brand look and feel to devise a graphic ‘thread’ that acted as a line that leads the audience through the content, be that the print report spreads or the animation. The purpose was to allow the design to support the written communication and act as a supportive aid to navigate through. We devised and created the full suite of illustrations and then designed and produced these in animation, including the commissioning of the voiceover and soundtrack.

From the get go, Ave were great to work with. Despite the complicated brief, they understood exactly what we wanted and who we were trying to target with our flagship report. The concepts and subsequent designs were to a really high quality that everyone at Ageing Better was extremely pleased with. Their talent in bringing to life our report and ideas, coupled with their commitment and dedication to the project made the experience of working with Ave a tremendous one.
